Schools. Addison has no public high school inside the town limits. Addison students are split between Dallas ISD and Plano ISD based on feeder pattern, and many families use the area's private schools, including Trinity Christian Academy (just east in Addison), Greenhill School (K-12 independent, on the Addison-Dallas border), and The Hockaday School and St. Mark's School of Texas a short drive south in north Dallas.

Hospitals. Addison itself does not have a full acute-care hospital, but it sits surrounded by major medical campuses. Medical City Dallas is 10 minutes south on Forest Lane, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is 10-15 minutes south on Walnut Hill, and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Plano and Medical City Plano are 15-20 minutes north.
