Direct flat-rate Black SUV and limousine transfer from Oakland International Airport (OAK) to Yosemite National Park — Ahwahnee Hotel, Tenaya Lodge, Rush Creek Lodge, Wawona Hotel, Yosemite Valley Lodge — about 3.5-4 hours via I-580 East + I-205 + I-5 + CA-120 (Big Oak Flat Road). East Bay alternative airport for Yosemite. Winter Tioga Pass closure + Caltrans chain control + Sierra storm-route experienced. Real-time flight tracking, no surge pricing, CPUC TCP# 9225, since 1986.
Flying into OAK for a destination wedding at the Ahwahnee Hotel (the iconic 1927 NPS National Historic Landmark in Yosemite Valley), a family weekend at Tenaya Lodge (the AAA Four Diamond just outside the park's south entrance), a corporate retreat at Rush Creek Lodge (the West entrance corridor's modern flagship), or a winter Bracebridge Dinner reservation? OAK is the East Bay alternative airport for Yosemite — you skip the Bay Bridge stack and connect directly east via I-580 to Tracy and the Sierra Nevada foothills. About 3.5-4 hours to Yosemite Valley. We've been arranging premium ground transport between SF Bay and the Sierra since 1986, through 40 winters of Tioga Pass closures and CA-120 chain control.
FAA data direct. Your chauffeur knows the second your OAK flight is delayed, diverted, or early. The 4-hour Yosemite drive means we plan around your actual arrival time. For dusk-mountain-driving cutoffs (CA-120 has limited services after dark), the grace window is built in.
40 winters of Sierra experience. Tioga Pass closes November-May. CA-120 Big Oak Flat Road requires chains during storms. Our chauffeurs carry chains and dispatch the 4WD Suburban automatically for storm cycles. CA-140 / El Portal alternate when uncertain.
The Ahwahnee Hotel is one of the West's great destination-wedding venues — lawn ceremonies with Half Dome behind. Multi-vehicle convoy logistics for wedding parties + family arrivals. Bracebridge Dinner reservations are also a recurring annual booking.
OAK skips the Bay Bridge entirely — we go directly east via I-580 to Tracy and the foothills. For CA-120 (Yosemite Valley), I-580 + I-205 + I-5 N + CA-120. For CA-140 (Mariposa), I-580 + I-205 + CA-99 S + CA-140. Dispatcher picks based on real-time conditions.
For Ahwahnee weddings, multi-day Yosemite Valley stays, or combined Yosemite + Mono Lake / Eastern Sierra itineraries — the chauffeur can stay in the area for the trip duration. Available for park-to-park, lodge-to-lodge, and Tioga Pass eastside excursions when seasonal.
California Public Utilities Commission TCP# 9225 since the 1980s. Fully insured commercial passenger transport. 40 years of repeat Ahwahnee wedding parties and Yosemite multi-day families.
Roughly 3.5-4 hours in light traffic. OAK to Yosemite Valley (Ahwahnee Hotel, Yosemite Valley Lodge, Curry Village) is about 3.5-4 hours via I-580 East + I-205 + I-5 North + CA-120 (Big Oak Flat Road, the northern entrance). OAK to the Mariposa / El Portal Entrance (CA-140) is about 3.5 hours via I-580 + I-205 + CA-99 South + CA-140. OAK to Tenaya Lodge (Fish Camp, south of Yosemite) is about 4 hours via CA-99 + CA-41 South. OAK to Rush Creek Lodge (Groveland) is about 3 hours. Friday afternoon Bay Area traffic and Sierra weekend traffic can add 60-90 minutes. Winter CA-120 closures (Tioga Pass closes November-May/June) require routing via CA-140 or CA-41.
OAK is the East Bay alternative airport — it's the best choice when (1) your origin city has better/cheaper Southwest Airlines service to OAK, (2) you're combining East Bay business with the Yosemite trip, (3) you want to skip the Bay Bridge eastbound morning crawl. From OAK you skip the Bay Bridge entirely and go directly east via I-580 to Tracy and the Sierra Nevada foothills. SFO is comparable distance but loses 20-30 minutes to Bay Bridge / I-80 East morning traffic. SJC adds 30-45 minutes because of the I-880 + I-580 transition.
All of them. Yosemite Valley: Ahwahnee Hotel (the iconic 1927 NPS National Historic Landmark valley lodge), Yosemite Valley Lodge, Curry Village (formerly Camp Curry). South of Valley: Wawona Hotel, Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite (Fish Camp, AAA Four Diamond), Big Trees Lodge. West entrance corridor: Rush Creek Lodge (Groveland), Evergreen Lodge (Groveland). Mariposa / El Portal: Yosemite View Lodge, Cedar Lodge (El Portal), Mariposa Lodge. Outside park: AutoCamp Yosemite (Midpines), Hotel Charlotte (Groveland), Groveland Hotel (the historic 1849 gold rush lodge).
Yes. The Ahwahnee Hotel (renamed by the NPS after a 2016 trademark dispute but reclaimed in 2019) is one of the great destination-wedding venues in the West — lawn ceremonies with Half Dome behind, the iconic Great Lounge for receptions. We handle wedding-party multi-vehicle convoys from OAK / SFO / SJC to Yosemite Valley. The Bracebridge Dinner (the Ahwahnee's famous Christmas season Renaissance-style feast, with reservations sold out months ahead) is also a regular booking — we coordinate Bay Area pickup + Yosemite Valley drop + return.
Yes — this is core to our Yosemite winter service. Tioga Pass (the high CA-120 route through the Sierra to Lee Vining and Mono Lake) closes annually from November through May or June, depending on snowpack. CA-120 Big Oak Flat Road on the west side often requires chains during winter storms. We monitor Caltrans chain requirements in real time and switch to AWD/4WD Chevy Suburban or Cadillac Escalade automatically during storm cycles. For winter Yosemite visits we recommend the CA-140 / El Portal route (lower elevation, less chain-impacted) when conditions are uncertain.
Yes — for executives flying privately into Mariposa-Yosemite Airport (KMPI), we offer ground transport from KMPI to all Yosemite destinations. KMPI is about 45 minutes from Yosemite Valley via CA-140. KMPI is the closest GA field to the park's Mariposa / El Portal entrance and serves Cirrus / Citation / Pilatus-class private aircraft. We also coordinate trips from OAK or SFO direct to KMPI for connecting fractional jet service when groups prefer that itinerary.
1 to 3 passengers: Lincoln MKT executive sedan or Mercedes-Benz S-Class. 4 to 6 passengers with luggage: Cadillac Escalade or 4WD Chevy Suburban Black SUV (winter visits typically book the Suburban for chain compatibility). 7 to 13 passengers: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter executive van — common for Ahwahnee weddings, family group trips, and corporate retreats. 10-passenger stretch limousine for weddings. 22-passenger stretch Hummer for celebrations. Larger groups: mini coach or full coach for corporate offsites at Tenaya Lodge or Rush Creek.
We track your flight live from FAA data. Your chauffeur knows the second your OAK flight is delayed, diverted, or early. There is no charge for tracked flight delays — the grace window is built in. For Yosemite arrivals where dusk-mountain-driving cutoffs matter (CA-120 has limited services after dark), we'll proactively reroute and adjust pickup timing. International arrivals into OAK are tracked through customs — we wait the full clearance time.
