The Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater on Lake Peachtree hosts outdoor concerts, and the Dixie Wing of the Commemorative Air Force flies WWII warbirds out of Falcon Field.

Fayette County Public Schools run the area's schools with high marks. McIntosh High School, Starr's Mill High School, and Sandy Creek High School all serve Peachtree City; Booth Middle, Rising Starr Middle, and J.C. Booth round out the middle schools. Private options include Landmark Christian School (K-12) in Fairburn. The University of Georgia's Griffin campus and Clayton State University are both a short drive away.

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville is the main medical center for Peachtree City residents, with the new Piedmont Wellness Center at Trilith providing additional services. Atlanta-area specialty care at Emory, Piedmont Atlanta, and Northside is an easy airport-direction run.

The path network is the parks system — over 100 miles of paved paths weave through the Line Creek, Flat Creek, and Lake Peachtree drainages. Drive times from Peachtree City: ATL 25–35 minutes via GA-74 to I-85 north, Falcon Field (FFC) 5 minutes within city limits, FTY about 25 minutes north, PDK about 45 minutes across town via I-285, and RYY about 50 minutes northwest. Dispatcher tip: GA-74 between Peachtree City and I-85 can back up badly during Fayette County school dismissal (roughly 3:15–4:30 PM) and during Atlanta-bound morning rush. For 7–9 AM ATL departures we recommend leaving 15 minutes earlier than a midday slot. For evening returns, we pick the I-85 South to GA-74 routing rather than the shorter back-road options — more predictable timing with professional black-car drivers.
